The ironworks were the first specialized industrial facility where iron ore was processed into iron and steel through smelting and the addition of charcoal. During its operation, the ironworks area encompassed more than 10 structures. Today, remnants of the economic buildings and living quarters of the ironworkers are still visible in Radovna.
