To visit the Vintgar Gorge, hiking shoes and basic physical fitness are necessary.

  • Follow the instructions of your guide, the directions on the signboards and the instructions of the managers of the Vintgar Gorge during the journey.

  • For safety reasons, a helmet is mandatory in the Vintgar Gorge. You receive it at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre.

  • Entry for canine friends is allowed.

The guided experience continues with a return walk along the thematic King of Triglav Trail, leading through the forest to one of the most beautiful viewpoints atop Hom Hill. Along the panoramic path, you will enjoy views of nearby Bled and the surrounding mountain ranges. With favourable conditions, the trail also offers beautiful views of the Julian Alps and Slovenia’s highest peak, Mount Triglav. Along the way, sample selected natural delicacies provided by the local guide from trusted local producers. Join us and experience Vintgaring in its full depth.

The course of the visit

To make your experience of visiting the Vintgar Gorge as good as possible, we have developed a 5-step visit process.

How to get here

There are several ways to get to Vintgar Gorge – by car or public transport, or even on foot or by bike if you are coming from Bled. Choose the one that suits you best and carefully plan your arrival time.

Vintgar Shuttle e-bus

To enhance the visitor experience and foster greater respect for the natural environment, we have relocated the parking area (the official, free Central VINTGAR LIP Parking – P1, which operates as the main VINTGAR HUB) to the outskirts and introduced the VINTGAR Shuttle e-bus, ensuring an organised, environmentally friendly, and simple access to the Vintgar Gorge.

VINTGAR Visitor Centre

Before entering Vintgar Gorge, stop by the VINTGAR Visitor Centre, where you can get all the necessary information for a safe and enjoyable visit. The centre also offers a rest area and a selection of locally inspired food and drinks. Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass cannot be purchased here.

VINTGAR GORGE ALL-IN-ONE PASS PRICES & SALES

To avoid waiting, we recommend purchasing your digital pass online in advance. The Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass cannot be purchased at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre. If you arrive without a digital Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass, you can purchase it exclusively at the Central VINTGAR LIP Parking (P1 – operating as a VINTGAR HUB).

Opening times

The Vintgar Gorge is open to visitors between April and October. Check the exact opening hours, as the hours change with the seasons and weather conditions.
