To visit the Vintgar Gorge, hiking shoes and basic physical fitness are necessary.

Follow the instructions of your guide, the directions on the signboards and the instructions of the managers of the Vintgar Gorge during the journey.

For safety reasons, a helmet is mandatory in the Vintgar Gorge. You receive it at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre.

The duration of the entire tour is approximately 3 hours, as the guided tour includes a guided walk through the Vintgar Gorge as well as a guided walk along one of the two themed trails that will take you back to the VINTGAR Visitor Centre The decision for the King of Triglav Trail or the River of Trees Trail is made depending on the weather and conditions.

Through the Vintgar Gorge
The one-way path through the Vintgar Gorge continues to inspire more than 130 years after its adventurous discovery. From the VINTGAR Visitor Centre to the Šum Waterfall, the path leads along sturdy wooden bridges anchored in the living rock.
