Welcome to the Vintgar Visitor Centre, the starting point of your journey through one of Slovenia’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Here, you will find an information point, where you’ll receive key guidelines for a safe, immersive, and responsible visit to Vintgar Gorge.

In addition to the information centre, we invite you to enjoy local culinary delights, explore the unique souvenir shop, or take a moment to relax in the cozy resting area before or after your visit. Make your Vintgar Gorge experience perfect from the very first step!

A NEW WELCOME TO VINTGAR GORGE

As of 2024, the newly opened VINTGAR Visitor Centre offers an information point, local dining options, a creative souvenir shop, and a relaxing space for visitors.

The renovated entrance building seamlessly blends traditional Alpine architecture with a modern, minimalist design. The entire renovation was carried out with a strong focus on environmental and human well-being, using natural materials and sustainable techniques to minimize pollution. All new materials and elements follow contemporary ecological principles, particularly in the natural treatment of wood.

A GRAND INTRODUCTION TO VINTGAR GORGE

One of the most striking features of the renovated Vintgar Visitor Centre is its fully glazed section, offering visitors a breathtaking panoramic view upon arrival. The glass wall opens up to a stunning vista of the crystal-clear Radovna River, which gently meanders – or at times roars – through the dramatic valley, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery.

This architectural highlight not only provides a grand introduction to the Vintgar Gorge experience but also creates a seamless connection between the indoor space and the natural environment, allowing visitors to immediately immerse themselves in the magic of this extraordinary landscape. The course of the visit

To make your experience of visiting the Vintgar Gorge as good as possible, we have developed a 5-step visit process.

How to get here

There are several ways to get to Vintgar Gorge – by car or public transport, or even on foot or by bike if you are coming from Bled. Choose the one that suits you best and carefully plan your arrival time.

Vintgar Shuttle e-bus

To enhance the visitor experience and promote greater respect for the natural environment, we have relocated parking areas to the outskirts and introduced the VINTGAR Shuttle-bus.

VINTGAR Visitor Centre

Before entering Vintgar Gorge, stop by the VINTGAR Visitor Centre, where you can get all the necessary information for a safe and enjoyable visit. The centre also offers a rest area and a selection of locally inspired food and drinks. Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass cannot be purchased here.

VINTGAR GORGE ALL-IN-ONE PASS PRICES & SALES

To avoid waiting, we recommend purchasing your digital pass, online in advance. Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass cannot be purchased at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre. If you arrive without a digital Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass, you can buy one at one of the three VINTGAR Hubs, before boarding the VINTGAR Shuttle.

Opening times

The Vintgar Gorge is open to visitors between April and October. Check the exact opening hours, as the hours change with the seasons and weather conditions.

Experiences

You can visit the Vintgar Gorge on your own, with the help of an audio guide, or join a guided tour. A guided tour with a local guide is available daily at 16:00 for individual visitors. Check availability and reserve your spot in advance.
