Through the Vintgar Gorge About the Vintgar Gorge

Welcome to a vintgaring experience! The one-way route over wooden bridges attached to the living rock of Vintgar Gorge includes 12 particular points of interest. Entry to the Vintgar Gorge is at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre. After 1,600 metres of marvelling at the power of nature, you will arrive at Šum Falls. From here you can continue vintgaring along the King of Triglav Trail (total length 5.7 km including Vintgar Gorge) or the River of Trees Trail (total length 4.3 km including Vintgar Gorge).

For individuals

We recommend that you book your entry online in time for the selected date, arrive on time at one of the three VINTGAR parking areas and take the VINTGAR Shuttle to the VINTGAR Visitors Centre.

For organised groups

Due to the restriction of simultaneous entry of visitors to the Vintgar Gorge, it is especially important for organised groups to plan their arrival in advance. Booking an appointment in advance is key.
