FIRST VISIT THE VINTGAR GORGE WEBSITE

We recommend exploring the stories and visit details online first. Carefully review the available arrival options, parking, or transportation via the VINTGAR Shuttle. We suggest using the audio guide, which you can access at selected points with your smartphone. If you prefer to join a guided group, be sure to reserve your spot in advance – a guided tour is available every day at 16:00.

Digital pass purchase

  • Buying a digital pass secures you the time slot that you choose at the moment of purchase.

  • If visiting Vintgar Gorge with a four-legged friend, be sure to buy a digital Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass for them too.

  • You can visit individually, with the help of an audio guide, or join a guided group.

BUY A DIGITAL Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass ONLINE

We recommend securing your visit to the Vintgar Gorge by purchasing a digital Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass online, which reserves your entry time. If you miss your time slot or arrive at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre without a digital pass, you will need to wait for the next available entry. PLAN ENOUGH TIME TO EXPERIENCE THE VINTGAR GORGE

I reserve at least 3 hours for my visit to the Vintgar Gorge.
Arriving on time at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre is essential.
If you wish to shorten your visit by approximately one hour, choose Parking VINTGAR Blejska Dobrava. After exiting the Vintgar Gorge at Šum Waterfall, follow the path towards the parking lot – you will reach it in about 20 minutes on foot.

CHOOSE YOUR RETURN ROUTE – ALPINE OR FOREST ADVENTURE

Are you drawn to Alpine or Forest Vintgaring? The one-way path through Vintgar Gorge is 1,600 meters long, partially running along sturdy wooden bridges embedded in the rock. This walk takes about 45 minutes. At the exit near Šum Waterfall, you can choose between two themed return trails, each leading you back to the VINTGAR Visitor Centre, accompanied by the characters of Vintgaring, brought to life through the audio guide. We recommend learning more about these trails before your visit to choose the one that suits you best.
Alpine Vintgaring with the King of Triglav Trail takes you through an Alpine cultural landscape, offering historical insights and a glimpse into pastoral traditions. This is a sunnier route, making it ideal in the morning or late afternoon. The total length,
including the gorge, is 5.7 km.
Forest Vintgaring with the River of Trees Trail leads through a lush forest, where you can discover the protected and incredibly diverse plant and animal life. This shorter, more shaded route is ideal in the middle of the day. The total length, including the gorge, is 4.3 km.
