The Vintgar Gorge has been secluded in nature for over 10,000 years. Today, it welcomes over 300,000 visitors annually. To protect, preserve, and enhance the visitor experience, we have limited entry. Only 245 of us can enter the Vintgar Gorge at the same time. In the Vintgar Gorge in the Julian Alps of Slovenia, steep walls rise spectacularly up to 250 meters above the Radovna River, placing it on the map of the most beautiful gorges in the world. To ensure that our date is planned as best as possible – both for you and for us – we have prepared 5 steps:

Get to know the Vintgar Gorge online first.

For initial contact, please provide us with the following basic information at info@vintgar.si: your first and last name, media outlet (and country), the thematic area of your work, contact number, and the date you would like to visit us.

Upon receiving your contact details, we will do everything possible to adjust to your schedule and, while respecting the principles of responsible visitation, open the Vintgar Gorge as a gateway to the Triglav National Park, the only one in Slovenia and one of the oldest in Europe.

We would like to meet with you first, at least for a brief encounter at the VINTGAR Visitors Centr, and share our story with you. In 2024 and 2025, we are taking some really big steps forward.

Allow enough time for the entire visit. After a relaxed introductory conversation, you will embark on a journey into the Vintgar Gorge. You will experience over 3 hours of hiking in the eastern part of the Triglav National Park. With the year 2024, we have enhanced and interconnected the one-way path through the Vintgar Gorge and the return thematic trails into an independent or guided experience of gorge exploration with audio points and stories.
