Plan your arrival carefully.

  • We recommend purchasing your Vintgar Gorge All-in-One Pass in advance to reserve your entry time.

  • Tickets for visiting and experiencing the Vintgar Gorge are not available at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre. They can be purchased online, while physical ticket purchase is available only at the official VINTGAR parking area (P1 – VINTGAR LIP), before boarding the VINTGAR Shuttle; however, you will need to wait for the next available entry time.

  • Plan your visit schedule in advance. The walk through the Vintgar Gorge (1.6 km, approximately 45 minutes) and the thematic return trail Path of King Triglav (4.1 km, around 2 hours) together require at least 2.5 to 3 hours – and possibly more.

  • Let’s preserve nature together and adhere to the principles of a responsible visit.

  • Access is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.

  • Dogs must be on a leash in the gorge. On the VINTGAR shuttle, they must wear a muzzle.

EXPERIENCE VINTGARING

A more than 3-hour experience that, with the help of an audio guide, takes you through the Vintgar Gorge and then along the thematic return trail Path of King Triglav back to the starting point at the VINTGAR Visitor Centre.

A visit to the Vintgar Gorge includes a 45-minute walk through the gorge, followed by the thematic return trail, together forming a comprehensive 3-hour experience. The full experience, called Vintgaring, offers a deeper connection with Triglav National Park while discovering stories through the audio guide.

For families, we recommend Vintgar for Kids – an interactive adventure for the youngest visitors, featuring 13 fairytale points with tasks and questions that encourage curiosity and movement. Children become little explorers, and together you experience nature in an educational, dynamic, and unforgettable way.

“I love Vintgar Gorge. It is an interesting and educational experience for my teenager and not too difficult an activity for the whole family. While getting to know nature through interpretive content, all family members connected and learned something new about the nature that surrounds us.”
